You can also look into making the adjustments that JimP suggested, that will also help. You should also take a look at the pilot timing table. It might clear it up for you, High Altitude Nosebleed - Pounce International - Demo #2 (Cassette).
Glad you're liking the tune overall though. Dom, did you ever see a dyno from the tune you sent me? This truck has crazy power now. I changed pilot to 18 across the board. Seems slightly better on smoke. It actually seems to High Altitude Nosebleed - Pounce International - Demo #2 (Cassette) bumped up the power as well. My lieometer mpg overhead went up a bit.
Gonna be interesting to see if mpg actually increases with the truck working less hard. Thanks again! I have not had that tune on the dyno. Honestly it's just scratching the surface of power on these trucks. I High Altitude Nosebleed - Pounce International - Demo #2 (Cassette) consider this a tow tune. There is probably another hp to be had with just tuning alone. Glad it's going well for you. No luck getting rid of the smoke.
Trying different things. What exactly does the part throttle gov do? If disabled will it still pull from the part throttle charts? Interesting as this tune pulled decent in my truck, smoked a tad from about through about When I adjusted with what Dom suggested it cleared right up.

High Altitude Nosebleed - Pounce International - Demo #2 (Cassette) did not add humidity as a factor because the manufacturer's charts had no relevant data.
Clearly, the trend from the manufacturer's data, when converted to density altitude, does not appear perfectly linear if you follow the data points they jump up and then start lower again in chunks of similar density altitude. The greatest variation here is about feet from the highest point in any of those clusters to the lowest point in the same cluster. That would be the yellow line around 8, ft of density altitude. To answer your question, maybe they didn't use density altitude in the POH because their data appears to be irregular.
With that small margin of error here, I am comfortable using these best-fit lines to quickly calculate my data because I wouldn't make a go descision for a takeoff with a calculated distance anywhere near being within feet of acceptable runway length.
